Create a plan for change
The goal of Torah is to make the secular holy. Our body is secular and our deeds, words and thoughts make it holy. We have to look at things ethically and morally. If we change our behavior and our speech, our thoughts change. Teshuva provides us with a system to examine and enhance our lives. This is Torah. By changing our actions, we see the world differently.
How do we formally correct what is wrong? Do we talk about it? Do we create actions to fix? How can we return to where we were before? We need teshuva to set aside the negative so we can move on. Thoughts are fleeting like smoke. We need to create a plan.
